Product Description

Remember the 5.0? Basically, it was an armored and ruggedized version of the old factory racing jackets of the 1960’s.

Wearing one made you feel like Paul Newman climbing out of his race car after the 1979 24 hours of Le Mans. Yep, it was seriously that cool.

So when we decided to update the 5.0, we knew we had to do it right. We took that look and feel and updated it to modern standards with features like our removable liner, improved fit and ventilation and so many other improvements your head will be twirling.

It still features our signature 360° 3M Scotchlite racing stripes, but now it has a softer but equally abrasion resistant Cordura shell for less break in time, 2-way adjustable cuffs and most importantly, a removable liner!

Both Men’s and Women’s 6.0 feature the same removable liner as used on the Men’s Viaggio and Women’s Avventura, which is one of the best in the industry. The liner can be worn as a standalone jacket or zipped into the 6.0 shell, has sleeve extensions with thumb cutouts to slip inside your gloves and will ensure you stay warm in the most adverse riding conditions.

They also work in conjunction with our heated vest so the most hardcore of riders can zip the vest into the shell and stay toasty during the winter.

The fit has been updated with the 6.0 so please refer to the dimensions prior to ordering.

*Arm length is measured from the armpit to wrist

  1. 4 out of 5

    (verified owner):

Having owned a couple of 5.0s previously, I thought I knew what to expect with the 6.0. I was wrong. The 6.0 exceeded my expectations by a wide margin. Everything that’s good on the 5.0 is better on the 6.0. Allow me to break it down for you:

Fit and finish: In a word, superb. Comfortable right out of the bag, not stiff and hard like a lot of motorbike jackets. The 6.0 felt broken in as soon as I put it on.

Functionality: You can tell the 6.0 was designed by people that ride. The double main zip is a great touch. The waist cinch straps are well designed and useful. The breast pocket is just in the right spot. Decent venting. The liner jacket is ingenious – more manufactures should model their cuffs off the 6.0 liner. The collar is just the right height (a complaint I have on the 5.0 – that collar is just too high). The cuff zips and Velcro are well-designed and make getting in and out of a variety of different gloves easy.

Style: What can I say, this thing just looks cool

Weight: You don’t feel like you’re wearing an armored jacket with this thing. It’s very comfortable and light.

Weather protection: I’ve comfortably worn the 6.0 down to the mid-30s F. Anything cooler, you’d probably want to be wearing a heated liner/vest. I haven’t ridden with the liner out, but if the 6.0 is similar to the 5.0, I’d consider this a Spring/Fall jacket – maybe a bit too much for the heat of the summer. That said, the new venting scheme may help there – I’ll have to wait for summer to be able to tell for sure.

Overall: I’m pleasantly surprised by how much I’m liking the 6.0 . I generally go for ¾ length jackets, but the 6.0 fits well and covers up all the important parts without getting in the way. If you’re on the fence, get off the fence and grab yourself a 6.0.
