The rally started off at the Garage Bar in downtown Louisville, scooterists arrived to check in and enjoyed a few hours and a few beers together. Heavy rain hit the town around 8pm, but it didn’t deter the group from hanging out. The second venue for the night was the Haymarket Whisky Bar with live music provided by the fabulous Vallures, an almost all girl sixties soul cover group from Bloomington, Indiana.
Saturday began with a breakfast and get-together at Ashland Park before the long and short rides departed. The rides toured scooters through the scenic riverfront areas of the city, eventually bringing everyone to the Louisville Pizza Pub for refueling. After pizza, all took a ride around the corner to the events and contests, which pitted one-another against each other in games like the slow ride and scooter dodge ball.
Saturday night finished off the weekend on a high at the Mag Bar (Magnolia Bar) on 3rd. Rally goers enjoyed the libations, northern soul DJs spinning great music, and the awarding of official rally raffle prizes. The piece de resistance of the raffle was the gorgeous and completely rebuilt 1958 Vespa Allstate won by one lucky asshole from Cincinnati.
